In about two months and one week—on November 4—my next new book will be released. Otherwise Engaged is such a joyful and emotionally complicated premise. Two young women discover they have something very unusual in common. Victoria is adopted, and Shannon was the baby that Victoria’s mom originally wanted to adopt. Shannon’s mom changed her mind at the very last second. This devastated Victoria’s mom, leaving her unable to love her fully. Neither girl had any idea that this happened when they were newborns, but now the secrets are all spilling out.
